All Monroe County Historical Association programs for teachers and students are based on state and national academic standards and emphasize:
  • Use of primary sources in lessons
  • Interdisciplinary instructional approaches
  • Differentiated instruction
  • Higher level thinking skills
The MCHA Education Committee works with school districts to design workshops to meet their specific needs for professional development, using the resources of the Monroe County Historical Association.

We offer teacher workshops at the Stroud Mansion to teachers for groups of 10. Workshops may also be offered at school district locations.
