The Monroe County Historical Association is honored to preserve a series of audio and video interviews recorded in the first quarter of the 21st century. The interviews capture each subject’s origin story of how they came to live and work here, their life’s journeys, and their memories of Jewish life in the Stroudsburgs, including talking about the early days and growth of the Temple community.
These include:
- Audio histories by Temple Israel of the Poconos historian Art Glantz in 2002 and 2003 with local residents Jack Bernbaum, Art Jolley, Sam Newman, and others.
- Video, “Charlie and the Temple Kids,” recorded in 2006, featuring Charlie Cahn interviewing Temple elders such as Kurt Wimer, Tom Breslauer, Lester Abeloff, and many more.
- Personal history videos of descendants of the Temple elders recorded in 2025.
