1 p.m. Mountain View Ballroom at the Inn at Pocono Manor
This year’s annual Victorian Tea and Luncheon features an
entertaining presentation featuring the fabulous fashions
of the 1920s. Ellie Laubner, author of Fashions of the
Roaring '20s and Collectible Fashions
of the Turbulent 1930s, will discuss the
garments, the designers and the historical happenings that
helped shade a decade, and it differed from the Victorian
era that preceded it.
The event will be held at the Mountain View Ballroom at the
beautiful Inn at Pocono Manor. Social hour begins at 1
p.m., with luncheon served at 2 p.m.
The menu features cascades of pinwheel sandwiches,
including cucumber and watercress, roasted turkey, spicy
egg salad, and goat cheese and walnut. Also homemade
quiches and tomato-artichoke-mozzarella skewers. And as if
that's not enough, you'll also find muffins, scones and
quick breads topped with your choice of honey butter,
preserves or marmalades. Save room for dessert – there will
be éclairs, napoleans and cannoli.
Wear your prettiest hat! Vintage clothing is
